Vodafone Broadband

Overview

This project focused on promoting the launch of two new broadband products:

  • Vodafone Gigafast Broadband

  • The Ultimate Speed Guarantee. 

My task was to fit these current propositions into the current structure in a logical way and create high fidelity designs of all the relevant pages. 

Working out the hierarchy

Getting the navigation right for a new product is key. My goal was to create content that is discoverable and so I used this flat hierarchy to my advantage and added new pages at tertiary level.   

Vodafone Gigafast Broadband

This was a new package that would sit in a catalogue of other broadband packages. Customers could get different packages depending on the geographical area they lived in.

We decided to create a page for users to enter their postcode and then see which packages were available to them. We hoped that this would prevent customers being frustrated that some deals were not available to them. 

Speed Guarantee

This was a proposition which offered minimum broadbands speeds, and gave customers money back if the speed ever dropped below what was promised. 

The most logical step from a user would be to go:
Home > Broadband > Speed Guarantee.

 

We tested this navigation with a control group and 100% of participants found the Speed Guarantee page on first try. 

We were happy to go ahead with the proposed structure so we moved on to designing out the pages.
